Applications to take the Civil Service Exam are only
accepted when an upcoming test is advertised. Advertisements
for exams are found in local newspapers, this website, the
1st floor bulletin board in the Clyde Municipal Building,
and at the Sandusky County Courthouse. Each posted position
requires separate applications and exams.

CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION
CITY OF CLYDE
A Civil Service examination for the
position of Certified Journeyman-Lineman in the City of
Clyde, Ohio, will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August
26, 2014 in the basement of the Municipal Building, 222 N.
Main Street, Clyde, Ohio.
Applicants must have completed secondary
education or general education degree (GED) and have one (1)
year on-the-job work experience with high voltage electrical
power lines and appurtenances (e.g., transformers, metering
equipment, etc.) A
copy of certification as a Journeyman-Lineman along with a
current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class (A) is also required with the

Class (A) by the end of the six (6) month probationary
period if they do not have one at time of hiring.
In addition, applicant must be willing to live within
a reasonable distance of the City of Clyde.
