The Clyde Fire Department would like to offer
the following programs and services to all residents and
businesses within our fire district………………
Fire Safety and Preventions Presentations
For numerous years our fire safety
and prevention specialists have been conducting
presentations for school groups, scouting organizations,
and daycare providers. These professional individuals
can conduct their presentations at one of our two fire
stations where they can showcase our well maintained
equipment or they can take their show on the road to a
location of your choice. Presentations can be tailored
to your request and are always age appropriate. We only
ask that you give us plenty of advance notice to
schedule and plan your presentation, as all of our
personnel have careers outside of the fire service. The
Clyde Fire Department is extremely proud to be a 100%
paid-on-call organization, offering our fire district
all the benefits of a career department at a fraction of
the cost. To help continue that benefit, our
non-emergency programs and services must be planned well
in advance.
Fire
Extinguisher Training
Fire extinguisher training is often
required annually by a business’s insurance holder. Our
personnel can come to your location and offer a
"hands-on" course or a class room based presentation. We
only ask that you provide the extinguishers if you are
planning on the "hands-on" course.
To schedule one of our services,
please call 419-547-8357 and if we are not in, just
leave a message and we will get right back with you. We
hope to hear from you but until then, please discuss
fire safety with your children and keep fresh batteries
in your smoke alarms.

Smoke Alarm Program
The United
States Fire Administration (USFA) tells us that the
single most important step one can take to save a life
during a fire is to install a smoke alarm that suits the
family’s needs. USFA follows by saying that a working
smoke alarm can make a vital difference in the event of
a fire and may reduce the risk of dying in a fire by as
much as 60 percent. For this reason the Clyde Fire
Department has worked extremely hard over the years to
ensure that every home in our fire district has at least
one working smoke alarm. We know we haven’t reached this
goal yet but with your help, we can! If you don’t
currently have a working smoke alarm in your home, we
will provide one to you, free of charge. If you need it
installed, we can handle
that task for you also.
