The General
Services Department maintains city streets and alleys,
the storm sewer system and other facilities
operated and maintained in the interest of public safety
and service.

CURBSIDE
SERVICE |
The curbside services
performed by the General Services Dept. shall include
the following items:
1.) Tree and hedge trimmings performed by the property
owner
2.) Bagged leaf collection, including fall clean-up
3.) Yard waste, including bagged grass clippings, garden
clean-up and sod trimmings
4.) Christmas trees
The General Services Dept. is not responsible for the
chipping
of tree trimmings performed by a professional tree
trimming service.
Bagged waste should be light enough to be lifted by one
man. Bags that are too heavy will be left behind.
Christmas trees shall have ALL decorations removed,
including tinsel, these trees have
been used for wildlife habitats, remaining decorations
pose a danger to birds and animals.
LEAVES MUST BE BAGGED AND SET
CURBSIDE
Curbside Pick-up shall adhere to the following schedule
to accomplish timely Curbside Service:
Monday EAST - East of Main and South of Duane
Tuesday SOUTHWEST - West of Main and South of Maple
Wednesday NORTHWEST - West of Main and North of Maple,
South of McPherson
Thursday NORTH - North of McPherson, East of Main and
North of Duane
Friday - Reserved for make-up streets missed during the
normal schedule.
(except Thanksgiving Friday, which is a City holiday)
Please delay setting items for curbside pickup until the
day before your scheduled pickup.
Stones, construction material, glass, metal, tires, and
other non-decomposable items will not be picked up.
DO NOT put anything other than leaves or normal yard
waste in the bags.
DO NOT sweep leaves into the gutter or on the roadway.
NO NEED to phone or schedule pickup.
A compost facility is maintained, citizens may drop off
their yard waste BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Call (419) 547-7419 Monday - Friday 7am - 2pm to
schedule a drop-off.

- west of Woodland Avenue thru Wendy's
(north side) & Hartland Auto (south side)
Route 20
- east of Woodland Avenue to Birdseye Street/
Winesburg Drive
Taylor Drive
- entire street
East Commerce Dr. - north side
Waivers for Senior Citizens, Disabled and other to be
included in Bid Work
must be turned in to the zoning office by May 1, 2008.

Sidewalks marked with an "X" will be repaired by the
City at no cost to the property owner. Sidewalks
marked with a dot must be repaired by the property
owner.
Specs: Portland Concrete required, minimum depth 4" for
walks, 6" for driveways.
Brushed finish and edged; expansion joints or cuts at
least every five feet.
Slope towards road for water drainage.
SIDEWALK PERMIT IS REQUIRED, AVAILABLE AT ZONING OFFICE,
NO FEE FOR PERMIT.
FORMS MUST BE INSPECTED PRIOR TO POUR. CALL 419-547-7419
TO SCHEDULE INSPECTIONS. CONTRACTORS MUST BE LICENSED
WITH THE CITY.
