Clyde Police Department offers the Tell-A-Tend automatic calling service to elderly, handicapped and shut-in citizens.  The program went online in September 1998 and was credited with saving two elderly persons the first month it was in use.  
City Council has approved the purchase of gun locks to be given to citizens free of charge. 
One gun lock per household is available upon request.
