Clyde operates it own municipal power company that distributes electricity to the community. Clyde Light & Power's electric rates are lower than other utility rates in the area.

In 1997 the City began operation of its new water treatment plant capable of producing 2.4 million gallons per day. Current operations are 1.2 mgd leaving plenty of room for growth. Proximity to Lake Erie ensures Clyde has ample water supply to support industry. There is a one billion gallon reservoir system and two 500,000 water towers.
