About Winesburg Weekend
Winesburg Holiday Weekend in Clyde, Ohio, began in 1976 as a business promotion but, by the early 1990s, evolved into a holiday community festival named after the book "Winesburg, Ohio," written by native author Sherwood Anderson.
Each year, Clyde celebrates this Hometown Holiday event on Main Street with business open houses, extended hours and specials, photo sessions from local photographers, horse and trolley rides, and holiday lights and decorations adorning the downtown. Saturday is the big day - a nighttime parade followed by the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and a fireworks show that cannot be missed!
