- How do I request to serve on a board or commission?
-
Serving on a board or commission offers City of Clyde residents an extraordinary opportunity to participate in the City's governmental affairs and help improve our community. The most important qualifications for serving are an interest and willingness to serve and the ability to attend meetings consistently.
Anyone interested in applying to serve as a volunteer on a board or commission must first attend at least one meeting of the board or commission to which they wish to apply. Afterward, Email or write a letter of interest to the attention of the City Manager outlining the board or commission on which you wish to serve and the reasons that you want to join. A majority vote of Clyde City Council determines appointments based upon the recommendation of the City Manager. Persons appointed to unexpired terms may request reappointment to a full term upon expiration of the unexpired term.
Call the City Manager's Office with questions at 419-547-6898.
